Ongoing programs

Dear all,

Our programs are now full operating again: pre-school and tutions after classes. The tailoring program is starting again and we are trying to set up a library for the older students (end of secondary school) to have a quiet space and books to work with.

The community of the slum is thus benefiting from our help for education and women empowerment (tailoring program), but is also helped by other NGOs who provide free medical check up or material etc.

Based on our succes in this slum, we decided to start a new program in another slum at Kalkaji (New Delhi), whose conditions are worse than in Goyla  Dairy. Hygiene conditions are bad and the area is really congested, where privacy is non existent. The community expressed to us their willingness to establish a small school. We hence started this month with a teacher who is coming on a daily basis. We are also willing to start a food program but we need to discuss the conditions with the community.
