Shadipur being destroyed

The destruction of Shadipur started two years back. Now, the few remaining kids we were following had to move with their families to other slums in Delhi or back to their village. The transit camp that was build to accommodate the families from Shadipur is now overcrowded. Tensions arise from the situation and violent conflicts emerge. 

Many huts and houses of Shadipur have been destroyed

Slums are temporary places. Families do not spend their whole life there and move as soon as opportunities are coming. Hence, it is difficult for a kid to attend school on a regular basis. 

Slum destruction and regular displacement of the families are the reasons why we want to develop a boarding school were the kids will be able to attend school all year through. Such project will give the necessary stability to develop their intellect and personality. 

We hope to raise enough fund to start such project as soon as possible.
